Revision planner

Add your subjects and exam dates. You get a day-by-day timetable that gives weaker subjects more time, stops each subject after its exam, and focuses the last few days before each paper. It saves on this device.

1. Your subjects and exam dates

Use the dates from your school's exam timetable. For subjects with several papers, enter the first one.

2. Your week

3. Your plan

Add at least one subject with its exam date and your plan appears here. 2 subjects are still missing a date.

How the planner decides

  • Weak subjects get about three times the sessions of strong ones, and OK subjects twice.
  • Nothing is scheduled after its exam. Once a paper is done, its time goes to what's left.
  • The three days before an exam are mostly that subject, for a final run-through.
  • Subjects are spread evenly through each week, not bunched together.
  • On an exam day it plans one session fewer.

How to make an IGCSE revision timetable that works

  1. Start from your exam dates. Get your personal timetable from your school and enter the first paper for each subject.
  2. Be honest about each subject. Use the topic checklists in our subject guides to see which subjects are really weak.
  3. Choose a number of sessions you will actually do. Two or three focused 45-minute sessions a day are better than a plan you abandon.
  4. Keep a rest day. A day off each week keeps the rest of the week productive.
  5. Spend each session on questions. A quick look at notes, then questions on one topic, then mark them and note what went wrong.

Revision planner: common questions

Is the IGCSE revision planner free?

Yes. It is free, needs no account, and works on phones, tablets and computers.

Does the planner save my timetable?

Your subjects and settings are saved in your browser on this device, so the plan is still there when you come back. Nothing is sent to us.

What date should I enter for a subject with several papers?

Enter the date of that subject's first paper, so its revision is finished in time for the first exam.

Can I print my revision timetable?

Yes. Use the print button above your plan to print it or save it as a PDF.

How does the planner decide how much time each subject gets?

Subjects you rate as weak get about three times the sessions of strong ones, and OK subjects about twice. Nothing is scheduled after a subject's exam, and the three days before each exam focus mostly on that subject.
